Registration
To be able to post messages on the EASy-Hub discussion fora, you will need a valid user
account. The personal information that you are asked to provide is your name and email
address. Although what you enter in the respective fields below is not checked
for "correctness" of any kind, we would like to strongly urge you to provide valid
information, so as to constribute to the orderly operation of this site.
Who has access to the information I provide here?
Users of the discussion fora can access a "user information" card for any author of
any message posted in the fora. This card contains the following information: (a)
your name, if you have not chosen to "hide" it; (b) your email address, also if
you have not chosen to "hide" it; (c) your URL, if you have provided one (non-
mandatory field). If you choose to hide your name and email address, and don't
provide a personal URL, then other users of the fora will only have access to
your user ("login") name. Please note that site administrators do have access to
all these pieces of information, irrespectively of your settings.
Why do I have to provide an email address?
Your email address is used when: (a) A message is added to a forum you are "watching",
in which case an email notification is sent to you (additional information on this
feature is available on the main page of the fora). (b) A user,
following the respective links, brings up a "card" of the person that posted a message;
if you so choose, you can hide your address so that it is not shown on that
card. (c) The site administrators need to contact you directly (a rather unlikely
scenario).
Privacy policy
Never and under no circumstances will your data be used for any purpose other
than the routine operation of the EASy-Hub discussion fora. Furthermore, if you choose
to hide you name and email address from other users of the discussion fora, these
settings will never be modified without your consent.
